Intermediate and Advanced Trumpet
Dr. Michael Seyler graduated Cum Laude from Western Washington University where he studied trumpet with William Cole, former principal trumpet of the Seattle Symphony. After graduation he taught high school, junior high and elementary school band on Mercer Island In Washington. After a brief stint teaching, Dr. Seyler went back to school at the University of Washington to become a dentist.
Dr. Seyler was principal trumpet of the Cascade Symphony and also principal trumpet of Philharmonia Northwest, a chamber orchestra under the direction of Roupen Shakarian. While playing trumpet with these two orchestras and practicing dentistry Dr. Seyler had the opportunity on several occasions to play for and study with the great Adolf Herseth, principal trumpet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
As principal trumpet of his orchestras Dr. Seyler has been fortunate to play most of the great orchestral works written for trumpet.
Dr. Seyler and his wife Melissa moved to Eagle, Idaho November 2004 to open a new dental practice along Eagle Road and enjoy the sunshine. He is now ready to continue his musical adventures and is accepting trumpet students at Rivendell Music Academy.
