Beginning to Advanced Fiddle
Monique Ruwe ia a fifth generation fiddle player. She first started playing the fiddle at age 4 and entered her first contest around age 8. She traveled to bluegrass festivals all over the United States as a young girl and got to see her family meet and play with some of the greats in the business i.e. Earl Scruggs and Lester Flatt, Del McCourty, Chubby Wise, Bill Monroe and Kenny Baker to name a few.
In 1986 she was the Idaho State Junior champion and in 1992 was the Idaho State Young Adult champion. She now teaches in Kuna, the Wood River Music Academy in Hailey, and at Rivendell.
